A first in France at Nantes Atlantique Airport!

Mission accomplished at Nantes Airport! An innovation that’s transforming baggage check-in ✈️

As part of the project to connect Terminals 3 and 4 at Nantes Atlantique Airport (VINCI Airports), a major challenge arose: relocating a baggage storage system located right in the middle of the construction zone—a system that was essential for the work to proceed.

The timeline was particularly tight! ⏱️
The work had to be completed between March 2 and 31. The goal was clear: begin as soon as winter break ended and finish before the Easter weekend, which marks the start of the summer season.
An open baggage drop-off station was installed. This self-service baggage drop-off system is a first in France; it aims to streamline the passenger flow and offer a simpler, more pleasant experience for passengers.

Our mission was to dismantle the old system and reinstall the new unit 🛄
All of this was done in partnership with Desya, which handled the electrical and automation work.

The goal was achieved…
The project was completed on March 27, on schedule and fully in line with the client’s expectations.

…and a successful commissioning
Commissioned on April 1, the system was immediately put to the test during the Easter weekend, a period of heavy traffic. The results were conclusive, with smooth operation from the very first days.

This project fully exemplifies a strong conviction: improving the passenger experience is a top priority, and innovation is a concrete and effective way to achieve it 🚀
